A-PVC Amphiphilic Pure Vitamin C®
A-PVC is a mark that certifies amphiphilic pure vitamin C.
We embarked on the development of cosmetics with high concentration and high penetration of Vitamin C*, which was previously considered difficult, and after much research, we developed a new, uniquely designed A-PVC that does not use water as a solvent. We succeeded in increasing stabilization and penetration!
The importance of penetration
The skin surface (keratinocytes) is covered with a thick oil film and has strong hydrophobicity.
Vitamin C* that is simply dissolved in water is repelled by the skin surface and cannot penetrate. Therefore, it is necessary to make it amphiphilic, meaning it can blend with both water and oil.

Amphiphilic
It is easily compatible with both water and oil, so it penetrates cell membranes and reaches deep into the skin (stratum corneum).
Water-soluble Vitamin C derivative
Since it passes through the surface of the cell membrane, it moves faster but is a little less stable.
Oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative
It takes time to penetrate because it passes through the inside of the cell membrane to avoid water.

It is unstable and easily oxidized, making it difficult for it to penetrate deep into the skin (stratum corneum).
